I am grateful to the flowing brook which travels past my home on its way to the Delaware river 3 miles downstream. I visit almost every day and breath in its gentle current ; endlessly flowing over and shaping river stones  through time.  So peaceful yet so persistently strong and ever changing in form.

So ‘flowing brook’ keepsake boxes represent this form. A gentle stream flowing, and shaping through time.

Quantum Box

The Quantum box is a functional sculpture which lends itself to the Art Deco tradition, and is a tribute to the influences of that tradition: namely that of the industrial age and of scientific thought. A fusion of art and science, this piece represents the beauty of the elementary form, the simplest form:  an atomic particle with it’s magnetic forces revolving in their orbitals . Emphasis more on form than function, a pull on an orbital opens a functional ring draw lined in a velvety finish.  

Birds Eye Maple, East Indian Rosewood pulls and base, rubbed varnish finish.
