After I’ve completed turning the four ‘legs’ for the ‘wave’ table’ Im now on to bentwood laminating the waves. There are 21 wave forms in all; seven for the top layer, seven middle and seven bottom layer waves. I’m using different types of figured maple for each layer.
The following photos show the completed turned legs, bending the waves in their forms, a completed wave with quilted maple veneer and lastly a dry assembly of the middle wave layer with attached ‘legs’. This project is turning out to be longer than expected and a real challenge. But well worth it! Hope that you enjoy following along. And sorry for the long delays between posts.
